- California roster (handguns). Off-roster handguns — those not on California's approved roster of certified handguns — may not be sold to the general public; only law-enforcement and other exempt buyers qualify.
- Large-capacity magazine law. Magazines over 10 rounds may not be sold or transferred to the general public in California.
- Law-enforcement / exempt exception. Qualified peace officers and agencies may purchase under the statutory exemption.
- Verified in person. We confirm your LE credentials at the counter before releasing the item — the online attestation does not complete the sale.

Description
The Emissary bridges the defensive and custom pistol worlds to offer shooters a pistol that makes for a bold and capable addition to the Springfield Armory family of 1911's. Combining forged steel construction for durability with a beautiful two-tone finish. Both pistols feature grenade-pattern checkering on their stainless steel grip frames and G10 grips, as well as a Tri-Top cut to their carbon steel slides, giving them custom-grade styling. In addition, a heavy-profile stainless steel forged bull barrel delivers maximum accuracy and reduces felt recoil.
